LUTRA was born out of a passion for sports, blending classic and urban styles. It all started with the search for a truly special neck gaiter—one that would actually stay in place and keep the throat, mouth, and nose fully protected at all times. They can also be worn as a beanie, a headband, or an ear warmer.
I spent years testing neck gaiters, scarves, and similar gear, but I could never find anything that didn’t slip down and leave the neck exposed, or that was lightweight yet ultra-warm. So, after studying design and fashion, taking sewing courses, and testing thousands of materials, I discovered the key: the TRICAPA (Three-Layer) system.
When combined, these three layers create the perfect design. We can feature a beautiful, high-quality exterior which, when layered with the other two, creates a down-feather effect. This forms an air pocket that warms up, allowing your body to breathe while trapping heat.

A perfect example is the LUTRA Classic Premium line, made from fine wool, Merino wool, and cashmere, featuring interiors of 100% organic cotton flannel—warm, soft, and breathable. And, of course, the intermediate layer of 100% moldable cotton gives your LUTRA a semi-rigid structure, ensuring it always stays exactly where it belong

LUTRA Sport Technology and Performance All LUTRA Sport neck warmers have been rigorously wind tunnel tested, validating their exceptional wind and rain resistance and optimal breathability. This superior performance is achieved thanks to our advanced THREE-LAYER technology. The outer layer integrates waterproof and windproof membranes, while the inner layers are designed with ultra-breathable fabrics that facilitate moisture wicking. In fact, in our tests, the breathability is so effective that when smoke is applied internally, it can be seen escaping from the outer layer, demonstrating how the material allows ventilation without sacrificing protection. * It is important to note that, with the final three-layer product, the smoke is not visible to the outside. However, the engineering of the inner layers—designed to be ultra-breathable and without waterproof or windproof properties—ensures that breathability remains active, working in synergy with the outer protective layer.
