LUTRA COMPANY was born out of a real need and an obsession with technical innovation. It all started when I was looking for a neck warmer that I could put on without messing up my hair, without having to take off my hat, and that was thin.
Warm and aesthetically flawless. I tried every neck gaiter, buff, scarf, and bandana on the market, from all the well-known brands. When I couldn't find the perfect one, I decided to create it myself. That’s how our first LUTRA Classicwas born—fusing a 100% merino wool exterior with a 100% cotton flannel lining.
To achieve maximum performance, we developed our TRI-LAYER technology, inspired by the system used in high-altitude mountaineering jackets. Its outer layer effectively protects you from wind and cold, while the combination of its three layers creates an internal air chamber that achieves an insulating, down-like effect.
Furthermore, to solve the age-old problem of neck warmers slipping down, we've integrated our exclusive moldable fabric into the lining. Thanks to this, your Lutra always stays in place, at mouth or nose level, without needing to be pulled tight.
